Come hunt Deerfield with the fourth generation of huntmasters to hunt this plantation that encompasses 12, 000 acres located along the Edisto River, Indian Field and Polk Swamps. Deerfield Plantation is located in the heart of South Carolina's Lowcountry "Deerbelt" in St. George, SC. We offer the best gun and bow hunting of world class whitetail deer, eastern wild turkey, wild hog, and quail. Our prices for deer hunting, wild turkey, or wild boar hunts include lowcountry style cooking served with generous helpings of southern hospitality and lodging at our beautiful lodge.
Our lodge is a 5,000 square foot authentic 19th century plantation house. Deerfield Plantation lodge and guest house accommodations offer a rare escape from the hectic, modern day world to the world of antebellum tranquility. Deerfield is an excellent place to bring your overworked mind, your appetite and your hopes for a "Low Country" trophy whitetail buck, eastern wild turkey, wild hog, or quail.

Whitetail Deer Hunting: Taking a deer in velvet isn't an option everywhere, so this is the place to hunt if you want one! Our season begins August 15th and runs through January 1st. Buck season opens with a bang! Come early to see if you can bag a velvet deer. From August 15th through September 14th you can harvest one buck on the morning hunt and one buck on the afternoon hunt. Beginning September 15th, until the end of the season January 1st, you can harvest one buck or doe from the morning and one buck or doe from the afternoon hunt. Prices include your meals and lodging. Wild Hog Hunting Season: Wild hog hunting season is January 2nd to August 1st. One hog on the morning hunt and one hog on the afternoon hunt. Prices include your meals and lodging. Here is more about our Seasons and Hunts.

When you come to Deerfield, Southern hospitality and traditional "Low Country" plantation style cookin' are the fare of the day. If you would prefer private accommodations, we have a cozy guest house besides the lodge.
Our guest house has a full kitchen, laundry area, two bedrooms, each with two beds, a living room with satellite TV and a fireplace. Here is more about our accommodations.
On nice days we like to be outside! Directly behind our lodge is an open air seating area the overlooks a field where game are often spotted. The pavilion also has an outside kitchen, a walk in cooler, two bathrooms, a skinning shed. Enjoy your meals outside when the weather is suitable or relax and unwind after dinner over great conversations with friends you've come along with or new ones that you make here. We also have two other outdoor fireplaces. One is the oyster house where we roast oysters and the other is just for socializing, hanging out, staying warm.
We've added a new shooting range behind the lodge where you can site in your rifle. the shooting house was designed to cater to left and right hand shooters. Give us a call today.
